Jason Carter owner of Jcar Productions earned his B.S. in Motion Picture Production from Fitchburg State University and promptly moved west to Hollywood to hone his technical skills at Clairmont Camera.  Upon moving home, he became Film Center Manager at Emerson College where he also earned an M.S. in Visual Media Arts. 

 

With degree in-hand Carter discovered a love of teaching film & video for a variety of schools including Boston Film & Video Foundation, Northeastern University, and later Suffolk University where he became the full-time Director of Video Production and Facilities for the CJN dept.  During this time Carter continued to work as a Producer, Cinematographer, and Director on a wide variety of commercial, corporate, non-profit, and artistic projects collaborating with some of the region’s top production specialists. Jason’s love of teaching is still there, just not full-time as he recently joined Boston University for one day a week.
